First Aid and Hospital Committee
Report given at a Meeting of the Welwyn Garden City Health Council on Thursday February 23rd 1928 in the Parkway Cafe at 8pm
By Susi Smith
Two Meetings have been held.
Hospital letters have been issued to the following:- Hollies Nursing Home – 18. Hertford hospital – 3
Ambulance
Dr Fry has received names of eight men and two women holding First Aid Certificates, and these names have been forwarded to the Superintendent St. Johns Ambulance Corp, Ipswich.
First Aid Satchels
After repeated application to Welwyn Builders, this committee is still without these satchels.
Radiant Heat Bath
Miss Corsellis has asked permission to have this removed to her house from the nursing home. She would be willing to treat Health Council patients free, in exchange for use of the bath herself. This committee recommends that Miss Corsellis’s request be granted, subject to an agreement being signed, establishing the Health Council as the owners of the Radient Heat Bath.
Correspondance
A letter was considered from Mr Carver, who has received what he considered to be a very heavy bill for disinfection, after two days treatment in the Nursing Home for impetigo. This committee agreed to refer the matter to the Doctor for consideration.
Signed H J B Fry
