Christening at Lemsford

Mr and Mrs Ronald Nall-Cains son

This Christening appeared in the Welwyn Times on 25 October 1928. The photo on page 10 and the following article on page 1:

“The christening took place on Monday at Lemsford Church of the infant son of Mr and Mrs Ronald Nall-Cain. The child’s granfather, the Rev W.G. Pennyman, officiated.

The child received the names of Ronald Charles Manus. The godparents were Lord Ramsey, Hon. David Bowes-Lyon, Lady Mary Emhurst, Mrs Francis Hugonin and Mrs Robert Devereux.

The service was fully choral. The hymn “There is a friend for little children” was sung. The prayers were read by the Rev. W.W. Clark.

Among those present were Sir Charles Nall-Cain and Sir Alfred and Lady Reynolds.
