Hi Nice site and so much to go on but may be worth putting a section on the various schools in WGC, many people went off to University and moved away but it would be nice to see something more made of the schools, and you could get the schools to see if they can help with projects on their history

My Mum grew up in WGC at 1 Springfield. After meeting my American Air Force father she moved to the states in 1959.We grew up visiting quite often as most of my family still lived in WGC. When i had a daughter in 1981 she also visited my family at 1 Springfield and had fond memories also. My Mum Audrey Stothard Lauffer's granddaughter my now grown daughter who lives in Tasmania had a baby boy on 12/27/12 and to honor my mother and our memories of WGC and our Maternal family she named her baby boy Wellen. A true testament to the love and beauty of a magical place for 5 generations.

I am not sure when exactly the family moved to WGC, but I arrived at 22 Marsden Green straight from the Hertford hospital around the 25th May 1960...I made the Evans family complete, Mum Dad brother Andrew and me-Lisa.. I have tried to google Marsden Green, but cannot seem to locate number 22... If anyone can help would love to hear from you... Lisa Parker nee Evans
