Preparations for resignalling at WGC
The new signalling control panel temporarily housed in the old SB. It is now located in the relay interlocking room and can be brought into emergency use if the data control link fails, to the signal box at Kings Cross
The first electric train at Welwyn Garden City. This was a test train, borrowed from the Liverpool St. route as the new Great Northern electric trains were then unavailable.

I was involved in the 1970′ s resignalling & electrification of the Kings Cross suburban railway routes. These are some of my own photos.
