These have been compiled once a year since 1832, and from that date HALS holds an almost complete series.  For the area of the garden city again you need to remember which parish you need.  The volumes begin to include garden city residents from 1922.  At first they are arranged alphabetically by the name of the resident but later as the garden city grew they are arranged in street order which makes it so much easier to find your individual house.
