Peter Pearson remembers the joys of his childhood in WGC during the 1930s. He played around Moatwood Green, just in between Peartree and Broadwater. He was a ball boy at a local tennis club and he liked to watch traffic. His mother had a beautiful singing voice trained at Trinity College in London and the whole family sang in St. Francis’ choir. He used to spend his Saturdays at the Elliot’s Music Shop listening to records and collecting them.
