Colin C talks about joining the cubs in 1948, then becoming part of the 1st Welwyn Garden City Scouts in 1951. He discusses some activities such as camping and tying knots, as well as general wilderness survival and other scouting endeavors. He briefly mentions the Boy’s Brigade, and the rivalry between the boys in the Brigade and those in the Scouts. He then talks about Bob-a-job week, in which the scouts would go around locally doing small odd jobs to raise money for the scouts. Finally, he talks about going to a Scouts Jamboree at Gorhambury park and the Chief Scouts of his day, Robert Baden-Powell and Lord Rowallan
