Alan A talks about his time leading the 9th Welwyn Garden City Scouts, deciding which hut to use, and being involved with the amalgamation of the 9th and 3rd Welwyn Garden City Scouts in the 1960s. He mentions camping with all the scouts in the county, and the various games and activities he would lead the Scouts in, such as wide games, and making a chariot. Finally he talks about some of the elements of the scouting uniform in the 1960s, such as traditional floppy wide brimmed hats being replaced by a beret.
