Les Brownswell begins by talking about his childhood home, particularly his large back garden, in which his family would grow fruit and vegetables. He also talks about how they kept chickens, and how he wasn’t allowed to play in the garden as his father was very proud of it. He goes on to talk about how him and his friends would play at the Mill green mill, and Tewin Bury farm. Finally he discusses floating down the river in old empty oil barrels, despite being unable to swim.
