Fine Fare Computing Section - 1974

I worked in the Computing section of Finefare on Fretherne Road, between 1974 and 1977.

I remember the head office building well and the Burroughs Computers that we managed in those days. I worked with Robin Pearson and Geoff Dilkes and latterly with Monty Chipperfield and Tony Alman between 1974 and 1977.

They were happy days.

I left to take on a shift leading role in the north of England prior to moving in to Computer Programming and the in to IT within Higher education.

I remember the three shift system and the various social events and also the ABF club which was situated on the roof of Welwyn Department Stores.

Happy days.
