This wedding appeared in the Welwyn Times on 1 November 1928. The photo on page 10 and the following article on page 4:

“The marriage took place on Saturday at St Francis Church of Miss E. Tarrier, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P. C. Tarrier, of 84 Longcroft Lane, and Mr. G. E. Davies, son of Mr. and Mrs. Davies of Bedford. The Rev W. E. Hardcastle officiated.

The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a georgette dress with silver lace and carried a bouquet of white carnations. The bridesmaid was Miss D. Tarrier (sister of the bride), who wore a dress of pink silk and carried a bouquet of pink carnations. The best man was Mr W Christopher (uncle of the bride).

A reception was afterwards held at the brides home.”
