David Goodson talks about his early childhood, how his father taught him to shoot and hunt, and how as a boy he hunted local pests such as moles and sold their skins for money, then eventually would also go beating for pheasants and partridge. He discusses hunting techniques, traps, and gun safety. He then talks about hunting foxes in Digswell Park at night in the autumn. Finally, he talks about joining the 1st Welwyn Garden City Scout troop, and the 1957 Boy Scouts Jamboree at Sutton Coldfield, for which they stayed on a campsite at Nuneaton.
